Become a swim teacher

Free for Rainbow Club Members and Friends

Are you over 15 years of age* and interested in helping children with a disability learn to swim? Train to Teach is our special intensive program offered to Rainbow Club family, friends and those who show a keen interest in working within the disability community. Through this program, Rainbow Club will sponsor you to complete a Swim Teacher training course, through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and become a qualified swim teacher for free. Teaching for Rainbow Club provides invaluable experience, great pay, and regular weekend work in your local area.

*Participants cannot be licenced until they are 16 years of age

Please note this will be a one day face-to-face course.
*All applicants will need to apply for an NDISWC one you start teaching with Rainbow Club (this is not needed for attending the training course). To apply please register using our business name; Rainbow Club Australia OR registration number 4050000653
*All applicants over 18 will need a WWC
*Applicants who are not Australian citizens must hold a valid visa with working permissions for a minimum of 1 year.
*Applicants holding a Student VISA (Subclass 500) are ineligible for this course, as the RTO is not CRICOS approved.
*All applicants will need a USI (Unique Student Identifier) to attend the training. A USI is your individual education number. If you do not have one, you can apply online https://www.usi.gov.au/.
